Why Tai Chi?
Tai chi is an ancient Chinese tradition that combines gentle physical exercise and stretching with mindfulness. It is based in martial arts and involves slow movements and deep breaths. Tai chi has many physical and emotional benefits, including decreased anxiety and depression and improvements in cognition. Research has shown that tai chi can improve balance control, fitness, and flexibility, and may reduce the risk of falls in older people.
