Strange Biology, Organic Abstract Paintings in Wells Cathedral

Strange Biology, is a name which hopefully describes the unusual work of the well known artist, Robin Gray. He was one of the first British artists to use acrylic paint. His love of natural history, things seen under a microscope, landscapes above and below ground, and all things found on his many adventures find themselves appearing as the strange shapes and colours of his paintings. The unplanned paintings range in size from very tiny to enormous.

On show in Wells Cathedral, Monday 21st July – Friday 1st August, during normal opening times.
