  1. Introduction

1.1 These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website LocalReach.co.uk (“the Site”) and the services provided by LocalReach Community Magazines Ltd (“LocalReach”, “we”, “our”, “us”). 
1.2 By accessing or using the Site, submitting community notices, or purchasing advertising, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Site or our services. 

  1. Services Provided

2.1 LocalReach publishes monthly community magazines delivered by Royal Mail to households and businesses across Somerset. 
2.2 Services include: 
• Free community notices (subject to word count and editorial approval). 
• Paid advertising placements in print and online. 
• Distribution of magazines to designated coverage areas. 

  1. Community Notices

3.1 Community notices are free of charge but limited to 100 words and may include one image or logo. 
3.2 LocalReach reserves the right to edit, refuse, or remove notices that are inaccurate, offensive, unlawful, or unsuitable. 
3.3 Notices must be submitted by the published deadline for inclusion in the next issue. 

  1. Advertising

4.1 Advertising bookings are subject to availability and acceptance by LocalReach. 
4.2 Unless otherwise agreed, advertising is booked on a minimum three-month basis, payable monthly by Direct Debit. 
4.3 Advertisers are responsible for ensuring that all artwork, copy, and claims comply with UK law and Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) guidelines. 
4.4 LocalReach accepts no liability for errors in advertising copy supplied by the advertiser. 
4.5 Cancellations must be received in writing at least 30 days before publication; otherwise, the full fee remains payable. 
4.6 If cancellation occurs after the deadline printed inside each issue, the advert will still be published and charged for that month. 
4.7 By signing or confirming an advert booking, advertisers enter into a binding contract for a minimum of three months. Early cancellation after month one or two may result in referral to our solicitors for debt recovery. Advertisers will be given 7 days to settle outstanding balances before court proceedings are initiated. 

  1. Payments

5.1 Payments are collected by Direct Debit or other agreed methods. 
5.2 Direct Debits are processed via EAZYCOLLECT, our authorised third-party provider, and will appear under that name on your bank statement. 
5.3 To cancel or suspend a Direct Debit, advertisers must email accounts@localreach.co.uk. 
5.4 Late or failed payments may result in suspension of advertising and recovery of outstanding sums. 
5.5 All prices are quoted exclusive of VAT, which will be added at the prevailing rate. 

  1. Local Dial Numbers

6.1 Each new advert includes one unique local dial number (e.g., 01278, 01934, 01275, 01458, 01749). 
6.2 These numbers are forwarded to a number of the advertiser’s choice. 
6.3 All calls are recorded for training and monitoring purposes. Callers will hear: “You are receiving a call from LocalReach. All calls are recorded for training and monitoring purposes.” 
6.4 Call data will be shared with the advertiser. LocalReach reserves the right to use anonymised call results for future marketing. 

  1. Intellectual Property

7.1 All content on the Site and in LocalReach magazines (including text, images, logos, and layout) is the property of LocalReach or its licensors. 
7.2 You may not reproduce, distribute, or exploit any content without prior written consent. 

  1. Liability

8.1 LocalReach will use reasonable care in delivering magazines and publishing content but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. 
8.2 We are not liable for: 
• Loss of profits, business, or goodwill. 
• Errors or omissions in third-party content. 
• Delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., postal strikes). 
8.3 Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law. 

  1. Data Protection & Privacy

9.1 LocalReach processes personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. 
9.2 Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your information. 

  1. Termination

10.1 We may suspend or terminate your use of the Site or services if you breach these Terms. 
10.2 Termination does not affect accrued rights or obligations. 

  1. Governing Law

11.1 These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. 
11.2 Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
