Wedmore Friends of Weston Hospicecare

Fashion Show 12th April Raised £2026.

On behalf of the Wedmore Friends of Weston Hospicecare I wish to thank all our sponsors for their very generous donations towards the raffle at this event and to all the Bellringers who came to help with the setting up of the tables and chairs and Phil Butterworth for his help with the lighting and microphone.

A special thank you also to Rodda’s Creamery and Blue Diamond Origins Patisserie for the cream, jam and scones.

Thank you to all of those who purchased tickets and thank you to those who were unsuccessful in getting a ticket but we will make sure you get first choice of our next event tickets.

A lovely afternoon was held in Wedmore Village Hall where 82 ladies were entertained to afternoon tea midway through the fashion show staged by Colours who were great entertainment and had a great selection of colourful clothes at reasonable prices.

I also want to thank all the Wedmore Friends of the Hospice team for their dedication to the cause and their help on the day which made it so enjoyable but was a lot of hard work.

The total raised on the day was £2026, after expenses have been paid we are able to donate to the Hospice £1887 which will be used to purchase a Cuddle Mattress for the In-Patient Unit.  An  amazing result after a great afternoon.

Please watch this space for our future events – An evening with Dr Adam Baker of the Hospice at Isle of Wedmore Bowls Club on 2nd July and a Pudding and Wine Evening on 20th September also at the Isle of Wedmore Bowls Club.
