How England repulsed the Spanish Armada…

…is the subject under discussion at the next meeting of the Somerton History Society on June 26th. Author Justin Newland will explain the hidden story around the repulse of the Spanish Armada, arguably the greatest fleet on earth, by England’s fledgling navy in 1588.

The venue is the Parish Rooms, Somerton with the meeting starting at 7:30pm, but with doors opening at 7:00pm for refreshments. Members come for free, but guests are very welcome at £4 per head.
