Lt Keith Mills RM (retd), ‘The Battle for South Georgia‘

Thursday 31st July 2025 – Soffaam Talk. 

Keith Mills was OC of a small detachment of 13 Royal Marines on HMS Endurance, with 9 Marines from NP8901. Landing on South Georgia to enforce UK Government policies on the Argentinian scrap metal dealers. This was the opening gambit and prelude to the Falklands War. Keith will talk about his experiences as a young Royal Marine officer leading a group of men against a larger Argentinian force and gave them a very ‘bloody nose’.
