Local Karate club wins big at Bournemouth competition

Glastonbury based martial arts club Somerset Applied Karate headed to Bournemouth for the Applied Karate Academy Championship. Eight competed in different fighting categories and after a long day and a couple bruises they walked away with nine medals. Instructors Joe Andrews and Greg Lynham were among the eight that competed as well as coaching from the sideline.

“It’s not all about the medals, it’s about the experience, and pressure testing your skills against some of the region’s best fighters” says Chief Instructor Joe.
