Come and find out about historical maps of Somerset – Somerton History Society

At the meeting of the Somerton History Society on Thursday 24th July Dr Adrian Webb, who used to work for the UK Hydrographic Office in Taunton, will be explaining the history of Somerset maps from the 14th century to the present day. Included are also the maritime charts of the Somerset coastline and the Bristol Channel. The meeting starts at 7:30pm in the Parish Rooms in Somerton, with the doors opening at 7:00pm for refreshments. There is no charge for members, but guests are very welcome at £4 per head.
