Coronavirus and LocalReach

We are Still OPEN for business! LocalReach is delivered by Royal Mail to 47,500 homes and businesses every month. We thought it would be useful to let you know how and why the Royal Mail can still deliver during the pandemic. However we are closely following the advice from public health England and we act upon it where necessary.

ROYAL MAIL - Contingency plans for our customers

We have strong contingency plans in place to ensure our customers are looked after and mail is kept moving in the event of localised service disruption. In the event we need to close one of our units, this decision would be made in line with Public Health England guidance. Royal Mail has many years’ experience of contingency planning for a number of different scenarios. We will follow the Government’s advice and work closely with the relevant authorities. We have extensive experience in being able to quickly deploy business contingency plans so we continue to provide customers with access to our services and their mail. www.royalmail.com/coronavirus

PRINTERS - Contingency plans for our customers

Production

Our paper supply is as secure as it can be - we carry 600 pallets at any one time and take delivery of our house stock direct from the mill. We have good stocks of all other consumables and have protected production staff from close contact with other staff in the business to minimise the risk of COVID-19 infection.

Uninterrupted service

We provide in-house finishing and mailing house services to further reduce your risk of service interruption. I’m delighted to report that our newly enhanced 3-machine stitching line is achieving speeds of 11,000 A4 stitched books per hour.

Site visits

All factory visits and field sales appointments have been cancelled or, where appropriate, replaced with Skype/conference calls. Field sales staff are now working remotely.

Hygiene

Hand sanitising stations have been established throughout the business, and extra soap has been placed in washrooms. Staff are being reminded verbally throughout the day, and via posters on all notice boards, to clean their hands thoroughly.

Our team

We have implemented ‘social distancing’ where possible by moving desks away from each other to increase the space between workstations.

If you have any concerns regarding work placed or about to be placed with us, your account manager will be pleased to reassure you.
